Jeff, owner of Buffalo Apparel Company, needed help boosting sales during holidays and football season. With COVID-19 restrictions and limited public interaction, online sales became crucial. After several unsuccessful attempts at Facebook ads, he reached out for marketing support.
Holiday Strategy
The goal was to target the local community with Buffalo-themed t-shirts, emphasizing shipping for those who preferred avoiding public spaces. We showcased a variety of unique designs, highlighting holiday gift options and offering guaranteed delivery by Christmas for orders placed by a given date. This urgency drove quicker conversions, despite a limited advertising budget. We successfully generated website traffic and tracked real-time data, leading to increased sales.
The target audience—men and women 25+—were offered incentives like "buy two, get one half off" or "buy four, get one free," encouraging larger purchases with a "more you buy, the more you save" approach.
With the metrics Facebook provides and the strategy I used, I was able to generate the following results:
• Increased sales activity inside the store and online
• Increased web traffic to the Buffalo Apparel Company online store
• Increased brand awareness and recognition in the Buffalo and surrounding region markets
Football Strategy
With the Buffalo Bills becoming Division Champions, I developed a strategy to sell Buffalo-themed football t-shirts for men and women, competing with other local brands and increasing social media presence.
Given Jeff’s limited budget, I created monthly ad spending plans. These Facebook ads targetetd Bills fans locally and around the country. The ads, featured across Facebook and Instagram (stories, reels, posts), offered incentives like "buy two, get one half off" to boost sales.
Results
• Increased in-store and online sales from local customers
• Increased online sales from out-of-state Bills fans
• Boosted social media reach, brand awareness, and recognition
